Kijereshi Game Reserve extends its sincere gratitude to Peace for Conservation (PFC) Organization, for repairing and restoring one of its vehicles to full functionality.

The vehicle, which had been out of service, will now play a vital role in conservation work and in assisting surrounding communities to manage dangerous and destructive wild animals.

“Previously, we had only one operational vehicle, which made it difficult to respond to emergencies in multiple villages at the same time” said Veronika Kikurebe, representing the Reserve’s office.

“With the repaired vehicle, we now have two, allowing us to respond more effectively and in a timely manner” said Kikurebe.

Senior Conservation Officer, Claudia Emil Shemhina added; “We are very thankful to Peace for Conservation. This support strengthens our ability to protect wildlife and safeguard local communities from potential harm”.

Kijereshi Game Reserve calls upon other conservation partners to join hands in supporting its efforts, particularly in securing additional vehicles to further enhance its operational capacity.

The PFC Director, David Kabambo, said that the vehicle will support the implementation of conservation initiatives, particularly in human-elephant conflict mitigation and strengthening relations with the communities surrounding the reserve.
