BANK OF BARODA DONATES DESKS TO LAKE B PRIMARY SCHOOL IN MWANZA, TANZANIA

Bank of Baroda (Tanzania Ltd) has donated desks to Lake B Primary School in Mwanza City Council, as part of its continued support for the government’s efforts to improve the learning environment in public schools across the country.

Speaking during the handover ceremony held at the school on Friday, Mwanza Branch Manager- Bank of Baroda, Victoria Kavishe said the donation was in response to a request made by the school’s administration during this year’s Standard Seven graduation ceremony.

Kavishe said, the bank had provided 30 desks worth TZS 2 million, and pledged that Bank of Baroda would continue partnering with Lake B Primary School to enhance teaching and learning conditions.

“Today we have donated 30 desks, which we believe will help address some of the challenges faced by the school. Step by step, we’ll continue to play our part, we can’t solve everything at once” she said.

Lake B Primary School Head Teacher, Emmanuel Edwin expressed gratitude to the bank’s management for fulfilling their promise within a month, saying the gesture reflected the bank’s reliability and efficiency in its services.

Meanwhile, pupils from the school thanked Bank of Baroda for the donation, noting that the new desks will ease classroom congestion and allow them to concentrate better in their studies.

The 30 desks donated by Bank of Baroda are expected to improve classroom conditions for Lake B Primary School pupils. Baroda, an international bank from India, has been operating in Tanzania since 2004, serving clients of all sizes, and plans to continue supporting local community.
